Deans from Duke University’s Chapel and Business School will discuss “Living Lives of Consequence” during a lunchtime event on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

This conversation in the Deans’ Dialogue series between Chapel Dean Sam Wells and Fuqua School of Business Dean Blair Sheppard takes place at 12:15 p.m. in Geneen Auditorium at the Fuqua School of Business. Free pizza will be served before the talk, which is free and open to the public. The event will include time for audience members to ask questions.

In the dialogue series, Wells discusses topics on the theme of promoting the common good with deans from various schools at Duke.

“Certainly we wish success for all Duke graduates, but it is important that we give careful thought to how we define success,” said Gaston Warner, Duke Chapel’s director of University and Community Relations and the series organizer. “This series allows discussion with Duke’s leaders around the larger issues of common good, such as what it means to ‘do good’ as an integral part of ‘doing well.’”

Past dialogues in this series include discussions with Divinity School Dean Greg Jones and Bill Chameides, dean of the Nicholas School of the Environment. Podcasts of these discussions are available at Duke Chapel’s iTunes U page.
