H. Kim Lyerly Appointed to National Cancer Advisory Board

Durham, NC -- Dr. H. Kim Lyerly, director of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been appointed by President George W. Bush to the National Cancer Advisory Board. The 18-member board is an advisory committee of the National Cancer Institute and advises the secretary of health and human services and the director of the institute. Lyerly, the George Barth Geller Professor of Cancer Research at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, is an internationally recognized expert in cancer therapy and cancer immunotherapy.
