Duke Employee Robbed Outside Erwin Road Restaurant

Durham, NC -- A Duke employee reported being robbed at gunpoint Dec. 23 near the Quiznos restaurant on Erwin Road, Duke Police said.
The victim, a research associate, told Duke police that two men in a burgundy SUV drove up to him around 10:30 p.m. as he was walking in the parking lot outside Quiznos. One of the men displayed a handgun and asked the victim for his wallet, said Maj. Phyllis Cooper of Duke Police. The victim said he threw some of the contents of his wallet on to the ground and walked away. No injuries were reported.
